| QA support to Project Management to ensure activities comply with corporate HSEQ management system requirements and statutory requirements; Working up with the Project Managers the Quality Strategy, Tactics and Plan by leveraging contractors' capability and address any gaps and shortcomings to achieve a harmonized and robust overall Project Quality System; Defining and supporting the Project Manager in the development and implementation of risk based Project Quality Management System identifying the appropriate organization, processes, procedures and supporting requirements; Developing, implementing, monitoring and maintaining including updating the Project Quality Plan; Establishing a clear understanding of Corporate Management System and Project Management System, and their relationship to Quality, Flawless, and Integrity requirements and develop the systems, processes, procedures and tools required as the project enters different phases; Supporting the Project in all activities relating to the selection, management and integration with Contractors and suppliers, assuring that all contractors employed emphasize the appropriate adherence to agreed quality requirements; Review and implementation of process improvements, process gap analysis with reference to project requirements and output and proposing remedial actions; Preparing project audit schedule and perform in house audit for each project discipline; Leading contractor and sub contractor audit, coordinating joint venture audit; Acting as the focal point for the client and CA on quality issues; Expediting and closing out NCR and CAR issued internally, by the client/certifying authority or against subcontractors; Identifying quality risks within project risk assessment group and proposing preventive actions; Reviewing and endorsing engineering requisitions; Reviewing and endorsing criticality rating calculation; Attending bid clarification and kick off meetings and project progress meetings; Endorsing supplier document requirement schedule and monitoring document approval status issued by vendor and in house; Reviewing quality control plans and inspection test plans; mobilizing the inspectors or performing inspection at intervention points identified as per approved ITP and maintain the quality records and inspection reports,; Liaison with the client, certifying authority and vendor and coordinating inspection and appraisal visits as and when necessary; Reviewing and endorsing all supplier concession requests; Ensure consistent quality inputs to the equipment specification; review and approval of manufacturer’s record book(MRB) and installation, operation and maintenance manual (IOM).; Preparation of directives to other disciplines in line with corporate and project procedures to spread quality awareness and holding training sessions; Preparation of compliance section of weekly, monthly and board report; Endorse all the design deliverables except drawings; QC coordination and related activities for Engineering, Procurement and Construction phases of projects. |

Major Accomplishments |

1- As system auditor, performed HSE & Quality audits of some of the largest oil and gas companies in the middle east such as SAFF, SADRA, IOEC as Management Consultant for NIOC. Technically audited many NDT, painting and welding subcontractors and assessed equipment manufacturers.
2- As technical support engineer, prepared policies, procedures, work instructions, and
inspection forms for various inspection activities, prepared technical proposals for
international inspection tenders; prepared company written procedures on NDT methods
(RT, UT, VT, MT, PT), NDT written practice, pressure vessel inspection, piping inspection, storage tank inspection and welding inspection; prepared company profile.
3- As quality and inspection engineer, inspected steel structures, static equipment, offshore and onshore piping & pipelines inspection, valve inspection; offshore Jacket and
Vessel inspection, lifting equipment inspection, leak testing, perform PT, MT and UT
Thickness measurement, interpreted radiographic films, painting and corrosion inspection
of offshore platforms and X-mass three, coordinated inspection and expedition activities.
executed final inspection of vessels and structures and worked as resident shop inspector.
4-As head of office for industrial relations negotiated with, and assessed more than 300 major industrial suppliers in production as well as service industries, prepared contracts' technical appendices and specific conditions and represented my employer in several domestic as well as oversea deals as the principal technical negotiator.
5- As chief supervising engineer of a car manufacturing project comprising of six major
factories and several workshops, expedited, monitored, and inspected the manufacturing
activities according to their respective quality plan and associated inspection procedures.
6- Seven years of active research experience on NDT methods and fracture mechanics of
Fiber reinforced Composite materials (FRCP) publishing three scientific papers. |
