Rope
Access Services operations Manager - South.Korea
Main Purpose
To oversee the safe and efficient running of rope access operations on site and to assist in the planning of projects and co-ordination of resources where appropriate. Maintain Rope Access Operational Procedures and ensure all legal obligations are adhered to. Promote the company within the industry and represent the company within IRATA. Identify innovation and industry developments at an early stage to ensure the company remains ahead of its competitors within the sector.
Principal Tasks
- Planning and resourcing of rope access site operations in Korea
- To manage a team of Operations Supervisors (including subcontractors) including monitoring and authorization of weekly timesheets and expenses, conduct regular staff appraisals and assist senior management with disciplinary matters
- To liaise with the Client where appropriate
- To promote safe working practices, ensure full implementation and compliance with the NOV policies and procedures
- To audit and inspect on-site procedures to the stipulated frequencies

Overview:

We are looking for motivated and qualified Rope Access Team Leaders/Safety Supervisors to help manage our growing rope access program in South Korea.
Team Leaders/Safety Supervisors will be required to actively lead field operations with fellow rope access technicians in several environments, including but not limited to: derrick structures, and equipment installation. On a broader scale, the Team Leader will have the opportunity to help grow and manage the business across a variety of customers and related industries.
With demonstrated success, the Team Leader will be asked to take on more project management and administrative responsibilities and field oversight of safety, customer service, equipment, and company policy/procedure compliance. The person holding this position is expected to maintain primary residence in the United Kingdom, Singapore or others. Reasonable access to an international or regional airport is helpful.
Primary Responsibilities
• Serve as a Level 3 Rope Access Safety Supervisor as defined by IRATA and carry out project management and other administrative duties as required;
• Ensure NOV-SIS / Rope Access safety and professional standards are consistently being met;
• Lead and manage the local safety, quality and regulatory process;
• Communicate and coordinate with NOV project managers and customers to maintain consistent workflow and customer satisfaction;
• Provide or arrange on-the-job training, mentoring and assessment of team members and equipment;

Minimum Qualifications

Lead Lifting Gear Inspectors – Brazil Rotation
We require 2 LGI Inspectors to undertake the thorough examination and where applicable proof load testing of lifting equipment, machines and appliances, onshore and offshore as required by company operations and in accordance with company procedures, instructions and industry best practice.
Undertake 6 & 12 monthly LGI & Drilling Tools on MODU’s.
To complete digitised examination, test and remedial action reports in accordance with company requirements.
You will be required to work with local workforce leading and directing as required. The rotation is 5 & 5 weeks.
A minimum of 3 years continuous experience of LGI on Drilling Units is essential.
Must be computer literate and able to operate data base, for which training will be given.

DSL ME are recruiting Inspectors experienced in the inspection of offshore derricks and onshore mast and substructures to API 4G as well as experience in Dropped Object Surveys.
Inspectors must possess valid Offshore Survival/Medical and be IRATA certified. Applicants that are also LGI inspectors with LEEA qualification are welcome to apply.

Job Scope

exciting opportunity has arisen due to continued expansion for an Onshore Lifting Equipment Inspector. Primarily focused on carrying out inspection and testing of lifting equipment and accessories, to LOLER and PUWER requirements in Aberdeen and surrounding areas; there will be requirements to travel occasionally depending on client requirements.

- Submit inspection reports, to the Lead Inspection Engineer, of all inspections completed directly by the Offshore Inspection Engineer or company employed contractors. Where relevant the reports are to include supporting information, documentation and NDT reports.
- Ensure that all inspection activities are conducted in accordance with the recommended company operating procedure and inspection routine
- Liaise with Ops Support Engineer to ensure support services are provided for inspection activities.
- Update client MMS with inspection frequencies from RBA’s.
- Liaise with the client and the Lead Engineer to discuss anomalies through the IQ process, determine the remedial action supported by company piping and structural engineers.
- Review Asset specific operational reports, plans and identify events likely to impact on the inspection and corrosion monitoring programs.
- Progress inspection reports, remedial orders etc and update SAP inspections
- Support the Lead Engineer in assessment of problems both technical and operational by sourcing information, progressing actions, notification of actions etc.
- Attend planning meetings accordingly.
- Management of and reporting on overdue surveys and deferrals.
Qualifications
Degree/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent,
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience of working in a similar role.
Able to produce reports.
Experience in the field of plant and equipment in- service inspection.

Roaming/Resident Inspectors
