Summary of Experience

Apprentice Trained Welder with over seventeen years working knowledge. Coded to perform various activities including piping, boilers, pressure vessels, furnaces and heat exchangers. Also experienced with lifting equipment and general fabrications.

Welding Instructor - Trainees taken from novice level through to their upgrading and coding.

Quality Control Activities - Personnel management of inspection staff, instruction given to aid their development in various inspection disciplines.

Involved with construction of pipelines, platforms, vessels, tank farm, topside utilities, heat exchangers, wellhead hook-up's and cp installations. Coatings have included factory and field applied i.e Coal Tar Enamel, Fusion Bonded Enamel, Mastics, Paint, Galvanizing with adhesion testing and holiday detection. Weight Coating with conductivity testing. Writing Inspection reporting procedures.

Other activities have included Station Rehabilitation with pre-commissioning/commissioning. Hydrostatic Testing. Vacuum Drying. G.O.S.P. and refinery piping. Gas Pipelines. Static Plant Maintenance.

Coordinating Inspection and NDE requirements.

Client Representative – Auditing vendor quality management systems. Reviewing contractual documents. Collating and compiling the final documentation for handover.

Expediting and Procurement (including spare parts) Material item control/purchase.

Liaising with the contractor and client through to handover or load-out on projects relating to the water, oil, gas, petrochemical, onshore and offshore industries world - wide.

Working environments included - deserts, overland, swamp, subsea, refinery, pipe-dumps and fabrication yards.
