| 20 years experience in the quality control field gained during pipe line construction, pipe mill surveillance, module and jacket construction, off shore hook ups, refinery construction, fabrication shops, pressure vessel / pipe-work fabrication, the build and testing of valves, the build and testing of rotating equipment . I am familiar with most international codes and specifications E.G ANSI 31.3 , API 1104, API 6D, AWS D1.1 etc . Over the past 20 years I have gained vast experience working in a variety of capacities, as an NDT Technician, NDT Supervisor, Operations manager, Welding / Coating Inspector, Senior Inspector , Vendor inspector, Clients representative . I have worked in remote locations for extended periods with both European indigenous workforces. Fully conversant with all aspects of pipe line, module and jacket construction including welding, painting, coating inspection, hydro-test, backfill operations NDT & mechanical completion. Well versed in the preparation / audit of NDT procedures and reports and associated duties of level 3 personnel. I am well versed in the preparation of Inspection and test plans, able to communicate the inspection requirements as laid out in these plans during pre inspection meetings. I am capable of taking a specific job from the pre inspection meeting stage through to final release of the item. Qualified to PCN Level 3 in RT,UT,MT & PT and PCN Level 2 in RT,UT,ET,MT & PT with additional CWIP qualifications in Ultrasonic phased array data interpretation, Alternating field current measurement and Senior Welding Inspector. | NOVEMBER 2002-PRESENT COMPANY: BUREAU VERITAS POSITION: CLIENT'S INSPECTOR (Company NDT level 3) Appointed as Bureau Veritas UK Level 3 in October 2004, responsible for the review and final acceptance of all NDT reports, surveillance of all NDT sub contract staff and revision of all existing procedures. Working on behalf of various client's Petrofac Iran, Petrobras Brazil, NPCC Abu Dhabi, ADWEA Abu Dhabi, Total Fina Elf, Shell U.K, SMOE Singapore, HDEC Korea, Technip U.K, DMRC India etc. Duties include carrying out third party inspection at various vendors premises throughout the U.K. Projects include: Corus Hartlepool Pipe Mill - Witness mechanical testing of 42" line pipe leading to the issue of 3.1C certification (Total Fina Elf). Corus Concast mill, Scunthorpe - Witness the manufacture of steel blooms (Delhi Metro India). Saint Gobain Hallam Pipe mill - Carry out in process and final inspection of ductile iron / concrete lined line pipe (Client's representative ADWEA). ABB Aberdeen - Witness all stages of build and testing of sub sea choke valves, data book review and final release (Petrofac Iran). Ardeth Engineering - Certifying authority during the fabrication of fine filtration vessel package (Petrofac Iran). Shipham valves - Witness testing, documentation review and final release of aluminium bronze gate valves (Hyundai). Howden Compressors - Stage inspection, Witness testing of compressors , data book review and final release ( Petrofac Iran). Weir valves - Witness testing, paint inspection, review of documentation and final release of sub sea choke valves (Technip Offshore U.K) Swagelock - Witness the build and testing of SBB & DBB valves, review documentation and final release (SMOE Singapore) Other duties have included witness of NDT inspection (Shell Nelson compressor casing), witness ACFM inspection Elgin Franklin (Total Fina Elf), audit AUT inspection on behalf of various clients, inspection of structural steelwork, rotating equipment, pipeline fabrication etc. MAY 2002-NOVEMBER 2002 COMPANY: INSPECTION AND CONSULTANCY SERVICES POSITION: WELDING INSPECTOR Working on behalf of the Manx energy authority during the construction of the Pulrose gas pipeline 22km x 10". Duties include monitoring all welding and coating operations, ultrasonic inspection of final tie-in welds. MARCH 2002-MAY 2002 COMPANY: OIS (ME) POSITION: NDT CO-ORDINATOR Based on Das Island, Abu Dhabi during the Adgas train 2 shut-down, responsible for the allocation of work to NDT Technicians, raising of necessary permits and supervision of work force. AUG 2001-MARCH 2002 COMPANY: O.I.S POSITION: A.C.F.M OPERATOR Based on the Shell Shearwater platform North Sea carrying out ACFM inspection of stainless steel pipe-work and manifolds.
